Fuchsia - 'Thalia'

'Thalia' has the typical triphylla long tube with very small sepals, and is coloured a brilliant scarlet. The small corolla is also scarlet with a hint of orange.

Thalia grows strongly upright and in my experience needs careful training if it is to bush out to more than a tall vertical column. The effort, though, is well worth it, and the many close-packed clusters of long tubular flowers hanging from the ends of the branches give a great display through a long season..

Thalia, in common with other triphylla fuchsias is not hardy, so that overwintering needs to be organised with care.
