Fuchsia - 'David'
'David' is a small-format fuchsia, growing as a bush up to about two feet high (although in good conditions it might reach three feet), highly branched and carrying a profusion of very small red and purple flowers.
The flowers are small and single and produced throughout a long season. Sepals are red while the corolla is purple. 'David' is especially suitable for the growing of low fuchsia hedges or for edging a border containing taller plants behind. I have used it for giving additional height to a low patio wall.
In the English East Midlands I have found 'David' to be hardy, and the first of my fuchsias to flower in the Spring.
